Jennifer Schroll, owner of Simply inviting Cards & Keepsakes

Hello! I’m Jen and I am a lover of all things beautiful, creator of gorgeous greeting cards, stationery, gift wrap accents and earth-friendly handmade paper supplies.

Just three years ago, I was the daydreaming, yet choosy, bride-to-be creating my own wedding day paperie. I didn’t want the sterile, mass-produced stationery designs that every other bride was buying for her special day. Having a background in print and digital design – and a little fine art experience – I thought “Why not?”.

And then my devotion to paper was born.

After my wedding day came and went, my zeal for creating by hand didn’t fade away. I fell in love with capturing the emotion of a timeless sentiment in the form of a tangible, artful keepsake. While I journeyed along this wonderful path, it didn’t take long for me accumulate endless amounts of scrap paper. The thought of throwing away so much paper compelled me to find ways to reuse it. Thus, my handmade paper line came to fruition.

Three years later, here I am. With a little luck and lots of support from my wonderful husband, I’m crafting my hobby into a growing green business. With antiquities, flora, lace, and soft lighting as my inspiration and the environment as my muse, I want to make pretty things and keep my surroundings just as beautiful. I relish each and every creation that embodies these ideals within the quiet sanctity of my home-based studio nestled in the rural hills of Kansas.

Eco-conscious customers buy from me knowing they receive a handmade item that was created with high regard for a lessened carbon footprint. I’ll even buy paper scraps from other crafters so that I may encourage sustainable crafting in their own practices. I strive to create a collection of paper goods that uses every last piece of material possible, whether it is repurposed as a paper embellishment, created as a supply for other crafters, or recycled into my very own handmade paper.
